Analysis of Previous Students Work

Nice use of editing effects and well timed cuts.
Good variety of shot types, and general composition and framing.
Great lip syncing.
Lighting in the different locations is well considered.
Performers are enthusiastic and committed.

No clear narrative.
Locations are very limited. There is also no real variation in the costumes.
Some shots could be better framed.

The switch from the diegetic sound to the non-diegetic music was clever.

Conclusion
After looking at previous student's work, I now have an idea of what level of standard is expected. There are also several EBI points that I will consider during the making of my own video that stand out as problems with the videos and I will ensure that I avoid them. The main points to consider are that there is a clear narrative, a variety of locations, and enthusiastic performers.
The timing of edits and cuts is also extremely important and is part of what made some of these videos so good.
